Conservancy

Plans have been initiated to protect the natural property at the Harbison’s Token Creek farm, placing into conservancy the 110 acres of unspoiled forest, meadows, fields, trout stream and creeks. Purchased by Rose Mary’s parents, Dan and Alice Pedersen, in the 1930s and in the family for almost a century, this land is a crucial part of the Lake Mendota watershed and Madison's northern "green corridor." Upon completion, this beautiful and important property will be permanently protected as a natural habitat. Eventually it will be open to the public, so all can visit and enjoy this special place.

Cultural programming will continue, expanded to include, in addition to concerts and recitals, ecological events, a speaker series, literary events, and other gatherings yet to evolve.

Updates will be posted here at the website and in our newsletter.

Stay tuned.
